Just unmount the catalog from a virtual optical, rename the objects in the IFS as you see fit, then Call QVOIFIMG and it clears what it thought was there and adds what IS there into the catalog.

If the catalog is mounted that makes it hard.

How/where do I rename them?

I don't see how I can rename them in the Image Catalog.
If I rename them in the IFS, then how would the Image Catalog locate them?
I can't delete them from the Image Catalog because that deletes them from the IFS.

I'm thinking the only way to do would be:

rename the files in the IFS
create a new Image catalog
call the QVOIFMG API to load the renamed entries to the NEW Image Catalog.

Is that correct?

BTW, that PTF is already installed.

Sometimes you can rename these UDF files to ISO and they'll work better.
There is some additional checking done with UDF that's easy for the
creator to screw up.
