Hi Don -- they should be the first options specified after the "java"
command if you are starting your app in the IFS "manually" typing in the
command (or in a shell script).

If you use the green-screen JAVA command then F4 to prompt, F9 for all
options and fill in these:

*Garbage collect initial size . . *DFT 256-240000000 kilobytes
Garbage collect maximum size . . *DFT 256-240000000 kilobytes *

Choose your option and count your zeroes carefully, esp *NOMAX on maximum
size can consume all available storage!!!

Check the recovery parameter. You should be able to split the workbook
into multiple sheets to get past the error.

Getting a java out of memory error.

Spreadsheet contains approximately 1,000,000 records.

I believe I need to increase the default heap size for the JVM but so

google has failed me.

Has anyone come across this and solved it ?
