Ok, should I be slightly concerned that the fiber ethernet card I moved
from C7 to C10 doesn't show up as
"10 Gigabit Ethernet-SFP+ SR PCI-E adapter"
but instead shows up as
"Unknown"
on the HMC?
Do I cross my fingers that it just shows up that way until you assign it
to an lpar and bring that lpar up?
We serve ethernet up via vios. We have two redundant VIOS lpars serving
up ethernet so I "may" be able to postpone resolution. Then again, if it
involves reseating the card, etc, some careful timing may be required.
