Why do unload/reload?

I would connect the new disks.
Start RAID on them.
Copy the load source.
Add the new disks.
Remove the old disks.

Only the Copy Load Source step needs to be dedicated. The rest can all run while the host is hosting!

I did make the change to C1&C4 from the expansion unit controls one disk

left is to power the main off, swap the card, hook the cable from the new
card in the main to the expansion unit and fire it up.
If that works and recognizes all drives then the fun is doing the
unload/reload to the new drives.

Of course, unloading/reloading a hosting lpar may involve ensuring that
the network storage spaces actually get saved. Like CHGATR to allow them
to be saved, etc. I think I'll do that some other day, like after I
initialize all the disks, etc.
