We are willing to have existing partition as host. Sharing resources will be fine.
Can you elaborate on the "virtual HMC" part? I think that would work.

I am not sure what enhancements they are referring to.
That said I am a strong supporter of having an HMC for many reasons. Remember the virtual HMC appliance can be had for significantly less cash than a physical unit and it would likely be perfect for your environment.
Either way you still use Power VM and it must be licensed on your server.
