The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

We are looking to create a virtual environment for testing purposes. We
are on V7.1 and want to create a duplicate environment for testing. We
will only need to use IBM OS, not Linux or AIX, etc.
Our VAR said, "all the improvements have been made in PowerVM/HMC and
not in PVM" , thus suggesting we need the HMC since all software
enhancements have been made on the HMC side only. I've did some
searches on it and for what we want, it looks like i don't need an HMC.
Can anyone clarify this?
