The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Not exactly. I don't want to have to relay IBM i email through a _local
Windows server_ to get to gmail. I want to go directly from the IBM i to
Google to handle email.
I understand that now. You want to relay through Google.
In my defense you did title the thread "Email direct from IBM i without
relay". You also followed with "I want the IBM i to not need another server
to send email". Google offers a relay service, which IS another server.
Given my contribution to this thread, is it clear to you that IBM i has
built-in services that can send email DIRECTLY to endpoints (i.e.
account@xxxxxxxxxxx), without using a relay (Google, Exchange, Yahoo,
Message Labs, Barracuda)?
