One caveat of your approach Brad is that often emails will bounce if not
relayed from a particular host such as the main mail server.
That's worse than not being able to send with TLS because the customer if
left scratching their head wondering why the direct send isn't working but
the mail relaying is.
If you're already relaying mail out of the 400 with Esend stick with that
process if it's working.
The grass isn't always greener or cheaper when it comes to mail delivery
unless you give out your 24 x 7 personal speed dial :-)

Yes, our MAILTOOL (with MAILTOOL Plus) software can rid you of the PC
proxy for sending email. It is totally independent of the IBM i SMTP/MSF
service in this case. And only about $580 a year per partition. That's it.
