You say this as if it is a known indisputable fact while the reality is that the debate is still raging with the bulk of the arguments landing somewhere in the middle ground of it makes sense to put some business logic in the database, and it is probably a bad idea to put other business logic in the database. It all depends on the application, and what it needs to do. The blanket, always do this, type of statements seem to be the most incorrect.
