strange, very strange. moving business logic to the database is a bad practice and has nothing to do with OO programming. Besides this: PL is the part of SQL, with nearly no portability.
The steps Birgitta is describing won't even work in this sequence. You can't put referential integrity to the database, befor you've decoupled database access and physical implementation. Most of the nice RLA using programms will crash and not work as expected. The whole thing is the dream of IBM i marketing to tie their custumors to the machine.
