It's going to be faster, easier, and more complete to just manually run the full save rather than messing around with all of that. In the end this system is only used "very little" so does it matter?

This is what the "21" option does anyway:

ENDSBS SBS(*ALL) OPTION(*IMMED)
CHGMSGQ MSGQ(QSYSOPR) DLVRY(*NOTIFY)
SAVSYS
SAVLIB LIB(*NONSYS) ACCPTH(*YES)
SAVDLO DLO(*ALL) FLR(*ANY)
SAV DEV('/QSYS.LIB/media-device-name.DEVD') +
OBJ(('/*') ('/QSYS.LIB' *OMIT) +
('/QDLS' *OMIT))1 UPDHST(*YES)
STRSBS SBSD(controlling-subsystem)

Make sure to change all the command so the tape option is at *LEAVE until the last on then *REWIND.

Seven commands and you're done.

if you still have the v5r2 install CD’s you can restore that object from the CD.
you could do the same from a SAVSYS tape. use dsptap with *SAVRST to see all the objects saved to make sure it is on the tape.

I've a model 800 on V5R2 which is a backup machine that gets used very little.

I decided to create a more current save of the system.

Opt 21 printed a few quick lists then failed saying that *PNLGRP QGIZAINP could not be found. I've never created any panel groups and using WRKOBJ I can't find any panel groups on the system, or on my other system for that matter.

Panel groups are generally menus as I understand them, but the failure happens after all the normal menus of a GO SAVE appear.
Not sure what my options are.

An extensive google search QGIZAINP yields zero hits.
