I would try that reset of the IOA.
Failing that I would call IBM. Too many times lately I see people on this
list trying an IPL to clear what ENDJOBABN couldn't. I would rather they
involve IBM before that step. This may allow them to avoid the disruption
to their users, and, benefit others in the industry which may run into a
similar situation.
BTW, I failed to call IBM and tried the PWRDWNSYS. It happened to be
during
the weekend of our scheduled maintenance window so I figured it wouldn't
be
any more disruptive. ENDSBS never fully completed. PWRDWNSYS never
completed. I had to use the HMC to bring the lpar down hard. No
noticeable
ill effects. (Note: Always run ENDTCPSVR *CIMOM prior to running the
full
ENDTCP!)

Our TAPMLB01 3573 library has a lock from an interactive job request that
never completed.
The interactive job was issued an ENDJOBABN.
The interactive job will not end.
TAPMLB01 was powered off/on, with the hope the lock would release.
This all occurred following the relocation of our system to a new data
center 24 hours prior..
The move was successful, everything operational.
We did have some messages for TAPMLB01 this morning.
