Sue,

Do those PTFs require a restart of the OS, or are they immediate?

Subject: GROUP_PTF_CURRENCY and GROUP_PTF_DETAILS - need HIPER PTF soon

I hate being the bearer of bad news, but this change is not something we (in
IBM i development) have any control over. The XML feed that is used by the
GROUP_PTF_CURRENCY and GROUP_PTF_DETAILS views is being relocated.
Right now, both the old and the new feeds are still available. The old feed
will be discontinued soon, maybe as early as October 21.

We have released HIPER PTFs that recreate the functions and views that
implement GROUP_PTF_CURRENCY and GROUP_PTF_DETAILS. The PTFs for each
release are as follows:

7.1 SI62612
7.2 SI62620
7.3 SI62621

If you use either of these views, they will stop working for you. Soon.
Unless you have the HIPER PTF.

The developerWorks pages for these views have been updated with information
about the new PSP website containing the feeds.
