The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I've had performance problems using -exec with 'find' on the iSeries, especially if it's going to find a bunch of files. (I use PASE shell more than QShell.) A faster way might be
QSH CMD('find <startdir> -user <OLDUSER> | xargs chown <NEWUSER>')
I think the difference is that -exec spawns a separate job for each object it finds, while xargs batches up a handful of files into one job based on total command length or something.

Is there a variation of the IFS command CHGOWN which will change the owner

This person owns too many objects to try to use WRKOBJOWN and option 9
Try this ...
QSH CMD('find <startdir> -user <OLDUSER> -exec chown <NEWUSER> {} \;')
