Thanks for your replies. Tried the proposed changes without any success.
Something that I have just noticed is that this PC has JAVA 1.7 . I'll get
in touch with our Windows people in order to have it updated. Who knows?

Here is the "About" on my installation. It is set like yours and works the
window does not resize, the font resizes. I am using font IBM3250.
