Rob:
I reread you message and missed the part where you want to pick a specific
owner. I don't know of a way to do that natively, although we could most
likely use APIs to list the objects and change them. Interesting tool. (I
think TAATOOL has one that does that, to mimic the late Al Barsa....)

Subject: RE: CHGOWN
I use CHGOWN on QSYS objects all the time. One command can change the owner
of a library and all of the objects inside. You just have to use the UNIX
naming convention when specifying the objects:
CHGOWN OBJ('/qsys.lib/mylib.lib') NEWOWN(NEWOWN) SUBTREE(*YES)
That command will change all the objects in MYLIB to the owner NEWOWN.
You will get an error message back for multimember files stating it can't
change the owner on a member (very true).
CHGOWN OBJ)'/mydirectrory/mysubdirectory') NEWOWN(NEWOWN) SUBTREE(*YES)
This one will do the same for the IFS directory.
It's also much faster than CHGOBJOWN command for some reason.

Is there a variation of the IFS command CHGOWN which will change the owner
of all IFS objects owned by one owner to another?
This person owns too many objects to try to use WRKOBJOWN and option 9.
