We have our own openssl based tls stack that runs as far back as v5r4. It's
up to date with the latest algorithms. If you run into a dead end with ibm
we might be able to help. We use curl rather than httpapi but the tls
binding should be similar.

Is it possible to run TLS 1.1 or better under V6R1? We are using Scott'slist
LIBHTTP for posting XML to a service provider and they will be requiring
TLS 1.1 or better soon.
