I'm pretty sure HTTPAPI uses the GSK (or system) SSL APIs so it would be a
little bit of rewriting for it to use a different SSL binding.

BTW, cudos for doing your own... it's something I've thought of for a while
as there are a few quirks with IBMs SSL APIs and functionality that I
find.. well.. uck.. :)
