I know these machines have thermal protection and the fans must be
variable... so I wonder if for some reason the computer room got super hot
would they all fire up to that loud? :)

Love the joke... no tampering, destroying or disabling the smoke detectors!

Yessir that's they way they start.

I have had much fun stating: "Please put your seats and tray tables in
the up and locked position. The captain says we are cleared for
takeoff." Just before the fans light off. In the best one the guy who
had to shadow us in the DC heard me but didn't get it. When the fans

up he started wandering the DC looking for 'that noise'. When he
