Rob,

I also was under the impression that I needed DVD for installs, etc.
When I ordered our P7 back in 2011, I ordered a 2nd DVD for my R&D LPAR, (because DVD in CEC could not be DLPAR).
Over the last few years, most vendors, including IBM, no longer supply DVD.
You must download from a site.
For some vendors, you can request a DVD, but extra $$$.
TOTAL/400 from ADEonics is the only one I have that only uses DVD.

With all that said, also doing the network installs, create DSLO media , etc. as Larry said, no need for DVD.
Image catalogs is the way to go.

Paul

Ok, so instead of a physical dvd you have an ISO file.
If it isn't the latest respin, might that still give you grief when you "boot from that"?
