I used to use vi (on a Wyse-50 terminal) when I was supporting a dozen RS6000's. It's the devil's spawn!

Just to really muddy the waters, you can try the following:
STRQSH

vi

ex: 0602-108 unknown is not a recognized terminal type.
[Press return to continue]
ex: 0602-127 Visual mode requires more cursor capability than the
terminal provides.

I've tried vi on one or two occasions, which normally had me running for
the scotch. IDK the right parameters and try to forget it as soon as
possible.

Ok so I think my goals are as follow:


- Go through a STRPDM tutorial for SQL just to get familar with the
mechanics.
- Do the next DB schema design project with SEU and RUNSQLSTM

the source members with the SQL (I know they exist)
- Write my next PHP file in EDTF.
- Go back to my normal way of doing things when I'm comfortable with
all
that.

In the future I could go through some RPG tutorials so I can advise on the
nuances on calling PHP from RPG.
