You found the table function. There isn't going to be a catalog for objects, because things like programs and data areas are not database objects. System catalogs are for database - and then we have the various services coming out now - these are also database objects - UDTFs, views, procedures - that happen to provide services related often to non-database objects.

One of several definitions for "system catalog" I found using Google is this one -

The *system catalog* is a collection of tables and views that contain important information about a database.

Now if you have something you need that isn't in OBJECT_STATISTICS or one of the other services, send Scott Forstie an email with your request - or submit a requirement at requirements.common.org
