hence the request for system library name. It's not an impossibility. I
had a former coworker who went to the dark side (PC's) who worked for a
contractor who had to attach to an AS/400 (long time ago). They had
written a complete system but it was based on longer column names and the
AS/400 people wouldn't budge. I suggested he try one more time and tell
them about the ALIAS keyword in DDS. He was on that like stink.

Chuck can correct me if I'm wrong but I suspect none of the methods for
retrieving object description he mentioned are slowed to retrieve the
object's system library name.
