I don't know the specifics. I know they are IBM DLL's that are a part of i Access for Windows. The ISV 5250 app uses them to interact with the ISV's Windows client.

I am a bit curious as to these DLL's. Are we talking about something that does something like Nutech that takes a 5250 screen and allows you to remap it and only show the fields that the user really uses? Like some sourceless ERP package prompts you for 45 fields on a screen to do standard order entry but you only ever use 5 they only prompt for those five?

Or is it something that does batch order entry by emulating key strokes?
You're loath to use standard file upload because you're not sure of all the hooks of the ERP package so you use this utility to take the batch and pump it through screen emulation done by DLL?

I can see where that might be an issue. Is this the genre of your concern? How long are these solutions going to be supported with the dearth of IBM i Access for Windows?
