Yes, ISV support for iACS is a factor. Being platform-independent, iACS doesn't include the DLL's to interface into PC5250 like i Access for Windows includes.

We support only the following 5250 emulation clients:
- IBM i Access for Windows
- after starting that up, telnet from (such and such version) of IBM i to (such and such version) of IBM i
- Mochasoft
The following are known unacceptable 5250 emulation clients:
- DOS telnet
All others are at your own peril and will be unsupported and we will not allocate any resources to supporting anything less than 20 years old (after all, you've seen our code, haven't you?).
