RE: Is there an easy way to identify all the save files on a system?

I've been working with the technical guys, not the sales reps. I've known
some of them for over 20 years. They even tweaked the CVTQRY routine for me
to address an anomaly with some library names. I reported it about 3 PM, and
they had a fix in the next morning's email.

I'm not sure why you're having a problem with this product. Since 1991,
there have been very few occasions where I was unable to fulfill client
requests with it.

The strongest selling point is the thousands of existing queries that can

be

run through the CVTQRY routine in SEQUEL and then optimized to use the

SQE.

The business analysts responsible for data mining are doing this all
themselves with no assistance from the offshore programmers (none of whom
would pass muster in your shop).

Are SEQUEL salesmen truly stating this to be a fact?

I can positively assure you that is most likely not the case. We have
thousands and thousands of SEQUEL views and very, very few use and go
through SQE.


Even worse is when you try to force SEQUEL to use a valid DB2 for i SQL
statement and it pukes all over itself because SEQUEL doesn't understand
native syntax.
