The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

I know there's an IBM supplied file that contains the attributes of

There is no such file. Instead, generate one using the Display File
Description (DSPFD) asking for only those files with the attribute SAVF:
DSPFD *ALL/*ALL
TYPE(*ATR) FILEATR(*SAVF)
OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(QTEMP/FDSAVF)
Note: The model output file for that invocation of the DSPFD command
is the database file QAFDSAV in QSYS with RcdFmt QWHFDSAV
p.s. The System Database Cross-Reference (DBXREF) tracks some
attributes of all database files and the non-database files of the
_device_ file type\attribute DDM [which is, and because it is, the
implementation object for the SQL ALIAS].
