Thanks Richard but the economics of this project pretty much rule out any commercial solution. Really need open source or the foundations of a roll-your-own solution.

Trust me I’d much rather incorporate a tool such as your but the economics (multi-site licenses) rule it out.

It does use Java, but has a CL command wrapper that can be used in RPG or CL.

You can be up and running in about 30-60 minutes.

Anyone had any experience merging PDFs ?

I know there is a Java tool that I could use but I am trying to avoid having to use anything beyond RPG + C functions in this instance as the stuff has to be distributed to multiple systems.
