For some past file size issues with QFileSvr.400 that may still be in
effect for shops running obsolete versions of the OS like V5R4, and for
someone who differs with Larry on the speed ratings see:

For 'quick and dirty' I may still use QNTC but mainly I've switched over
to NFS.

One reason is QNTC has some really weird issues with share names. If some
clown creates a share name with more than ?11? characters and even if that
is not the share you are accessing, simply the existence of it may break
communications to other shares from IBM i, IBM z, etc. IBM documented.

NFS is platform independent. I can have Domino servers running on IBM i,
Windows and Linux. The Domino script code all works the same when I use
NFS. I suppose I could try symbolic links into QNTC but I think I read
something about something like that not being supported.
