Imagine this as a ftp client on your IBM i talking to some customer's
linux box
ftp linuxdude
locsite namefmt 1
lcd /qntc/stupidpcserver/sharename/subdirectory
put localfilename.txt
quit
or if the linuxclient was coming into your IBM i
ftp godlikeibmimachine
cd /qntc/stupidpcserver/sharename/subdirectory
put myfile.pdf
quit
So, yes, the concept is there for qntc to be used from a ftp client, or a
ftp server, running on IBM i.
Whether or not it really works is another matter.
For example, if the ftp server is running under (in a hurry to leave)
QTCPFTP (or some such thing) would QTCPFTP have to have access to both
your windows domain, and the share served, on stupidpcserver?
I think that is what the OP is asking.
