Jeff,
I see an example in the Stored Procedures, Triggers, and User-Defined Functions on DB2
Universal Database for iSeries Red Book.
I'm see a SQL RPG example at 6.7.2 where the technique was to substring the
numeric into 'ccyy-mm-dd'
Hope this helps.

Subject: Converting a numeric date value to a DATE in SQL

All,
V6R1 system.
Using SQL, how do I convert a numeric value of a database field in ISO date format (ccyymmdd) to a DATE data type for comparison?
I need to select all records with a date that is equal to a value input by the user.

TIA,

Jeff Young
