I usually do and call it ZCTL so it falls to the bottom of the WRKACTJOB
list

Why? Is it solely so that it falls to the bottom of WRKACTJOB?

First off the only two things that separate a controlling subsystem from any other are the prestart job to kick off the start up program, and the workstation entries (two) to offer a sign on to the console but no other devices. Both very simple things to set up. So the real answer to your question is you can create your own, I usually do and call it ZCTL so it falls to the bottom of the WRKACTJOB list, - or - you can use the IBM supplied subsystem called QCTL. If interested I can post the commands to roll your own. Jim Oberholtzer Chief Technical Architect Agile Technology Architects
