If there is I am not familiar enough with ASMI to find them. In this case, I'll just bounce it through the VIOS command line. In a production environment I would have never varied off an Ethernet line except in a maintenance window and not without having a full recovery plan. But since this is a development box, I'm just going to bounce it and see what happens.

I am trying to sort out a connectivity issue after my BCS and JS-12 were asleep for a month or so. IVM isn't responsive and the connection to the HTTP servers on the box is flaky. So I am trying a couple of things to see if the issue is at the i or is a firewall/routing issue.

Is there a way to get SST functions ported to ASMI??

Hi Pete

I just looked up this topic - there are V5R4 instructions at this URL

There is something about needing a unique SST user, esp. if using LAN
console.

Wishing I had a 5250 terminal connected with twinax.....

IVM isn't responding (long story and one that I have lived through
before) It *might* have had a control panel but I can't remember (and
can't see it). I am a little baffled as to why the control panel won't
display in Ops Navigator but what the hey...this is a development box
and I'll bounce it from the AMM. Then I hope the Ethernet line will vary
back on when it comes back up and THEN I'll connect with Ops Nav. I
should be able to vary off the Ethernet line then correct? Ops nav
doesn't need a configured Ethernet line because it uses a different NIC
... right?

Pete,

Can you go into IVM and use Operator Panel Functions there to do
the
65, 21, 21? I know you can do this with HMC but I think that's also
available on IVM.
