I was about to say that, They probably hosed the entire ASP (who knows
why, a single disk shouldn't have done that) and at restore time, the
lic doesnt have users beyond the standard. AFAIK the install and
initialize lic code does not bring users from the op21.
Be aware that if certain system value is on, you cant change the
password with chgdstpwd *Default and then change it from the SST, you
have to invoke funct 21 on the console and change it from DST...

This gets back to the Load Source drive problem I mentioned a week or so ago.



I'm not exactly sure what the BP did, but the system is back up (though not completely usable for our purposes).  My understanding was that they did a Save 21 and then rebuilt the system after installing a new drive.  I've never had to go to such extremes so, as I said, I'm not sure exactly what steps they used.



During my tests last weekend, I ran STRSST but the password for QSECOFR did not match what I had defined eons ago.  And the SST profile that I created for myself, in case QSECOFR went south, does not exist anymore.  In addition, the QSECOFR user profile (not the SST one) has a different password.



Acknowledging that the BP might have changed all of this stuff after the restore, wouldn't a restore have restored the original SST passwords, and the password for the QSECOFR password?



I'm just trying to learn a little more here about restores from a Save 21 because I can fix the problems.
