I may have stated my problem incorrectly.

I need to print a greenbar report on a Xerox printer. The default is
to squeeze the print down to fit letter size paper. The printer has a
tray with legal size paper in it. I have the tray selected. But, the
font is still intended to fi letter size. On CRTDEVPRT, there is a
parameter named FONT. The value I have always seen is 11. But, I am
needing something to change so the font scales up to fit the page. I
am thinking I need to do that with OVRPRTF, to get pagesize and lines
per page correct. On further thought, maybe there is nothing I need
to do with the device description, since other components will need to
be changed.

If my revised thinking is correct, it isn't an issue.

Should have thought twice before posting, I believe.

On my system (V6R1), I have a library called 'RDFONT01V5'.  Inside that is an app that will print your font samples for you!

The app I ran was PRTFNTC (Print Font Catalog).  I believe that it prints *immediately* to your default printer...so...be ready!  :)

I know it because Charles Wilt answered this very same question for me back in February (thanks, btw!) .  You can still find the thread in the archives, but the link to IBM's reference page is broken now.
