Congratulations, James! You are a far more determined man than I. I'm going to be having a few trepidations just replacing my battery pack - I can't imagine deconstructing and reconstructing an entire expansion unit.

My Fellow Geeks:

I just spent the past 3 hours transplanting the guts (p/s, book cage,
most of the cables) from the expansion side of our long-dead 200 (now
enjoying a second life as a projector stand!) into the expansion side of
our 40S. There was visible mechanical damage on one of the parts I
replaceded (I won't say which one on-List; it's too embarrassing!), and
now, with the new IOP that Larry sold us (I'm not going to bother seeing
whether the old IOP works; I'm not one to tempt fate) in place. Not long
ago, it completed its first successful B N IPL in over a month.
