Note that Scott didn't get X-Server running on i, IBM did.

Scott made use of the 5799-PTL iSeries Developer's tools PPRQ which
includes a X-Window server.

The links in Scott's article are broken, I was unable to find the
documentation pages, but at least I finally found the download link:

So yes, Scott did get X server running on the i. If I remember correctly,
there was some other example that I thought was from Scott where he had an
entire desktop running. But it may have been from someone else...

Thanks, Crispin.  To clarify, X is the Bell Laboratories graphical user
interface on which Windoze was based.  (Using a very broad brush, it is
the
"Windows" of Unix.  It's also sometimes referred to as X-Windows.)  An X
Server provides a graphical login to terminals that might connect over the
cloud.

I wonder how difficult it would be to get wkhtmltopdf
working on i in Pase?

Well, I stopped considering it when I read, under Features, "... the
X11
client must be installed."  I am not administrator on the systems
that I
use, so haven't had opportunity to work with this.  But I'm fairly
certain
X
client is lacking on the standard i installation.

Brings up an interesting question.  Has anyone on this list
successfully
installed and exercised an X server on their System i?
