You shouldn't have any trouble moving a save file from 5.3 to 6.1, nor
any trouble restoring the object in the save file unless they are
*PGM/*SRVPGM objects without observability.

Rule of Thumb:
-Going forward is ok
-Can only go backward 2 releases.

Is it possible to port 5.3 save files to 6.1, if not I could go the route of
porting them to 5.4(restore them) then resave them to port to 6.1.

If I do this what would not be able to be converted, if saved IFS, DLO,
*ALLUSR, etc could I build a system this way??

My only other alternative would be to load 5.4 OS on it and convert before
the 70 day temp keys are up.

Open to other suggestions/alternatives.

Thanks.
