The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
You can certainly move *SAVF files from a prior release to a newer release
without a problem. It sounds like you need to do a mixed mode migration.

Subject: 5.3 os to 6.1 question
Is it possible to port 5.3 save files to 6.1, if not I could go the route of
porting them to 5.4(restore them) then resave them to port to 6.1.
If I do this what would not be able to be converted, if saved IFS, DLO,
*ALLUSR, etc could I build a system this way??
My only other alternative would be to load 5.4 OS on it and convert before
the 70 day temp keys are up.
Open to other suggestions/alternatives.
