(Perhaps Scott could have included any dependencies, e.g. libstdc, in

That's an excellent idea. (It seems obvious now that you mention it.)

My only problem is that I've changed my PASE environment so much over
the years that I don't know which parts are stock parts and which are
my
modifications. That makes it hard to tell which dependencies I'd need
to include. :(
