The primary partition is just working as "Thin Primary " with no application
installed. And i am going to replace it with secondary partition making it a
stand alone box.
with reference to point 2 , is it that my resource name would change when i
move it to primary and i may need to configure it again after restoration.I
read in Save and Recovery that it may happen that SRM information after
recovery may not be same so we may need to delete some configuration which i
am sure is no longer existing.

I will be using the primary console initially to perform the activities so
has doubt that whether during restoration from sec backup will the console
come up or not .. or i would require to use 65+21 to guide server to find
console.

My interpretation of the OP is that he has an 8xx with the primary
partition and two secondary partitions. The primary was probably the pre
power 5 concept of the hosting partition with no applications and only
hosted the application partitions. I am also taking that one of the
secondary partitions is expendable. So he's going to scratch the box and
just have one partition (the one that used to be one of the secondary
partitions).
