I had a customer that decided to check their generator this morning
since the utility company was going to shut them down after lunch.

They ended up draining the UPS since it didn't seem to like the
generator's output. They were switching back and forth from utility,
generator, and just UPS before they contacted me.

The IBM i (model 800) had evidently shut itself down via the UPS
monitoring program but hadn't automatically restarted. Don't know if it
was because of the on/off battery signal kept flip flopping or what.

I had them hit the power button and it seemed to be starting but it has
been sitting at SRC C600 3915 for over an hour. The description is
"Licensed internal code (LIC) has initiated the load source IOP
self-load." so I am thinking this should be a quick step instead. The
customer is not reporting an alert light yet. I hope to get onsite in an
hour.

Does this still sound like an Oh Frack or the rare Like A PC and reboot
it again?

Thanks.

Roger Vicker, CCP
