This is not exactly the same situation but the response code caught my eye.
I will occasionally have a Client Access session drop with CPF5143 and a
response code of 6155. This only happens to me, no one else. And it
usually only happens to one of the 4 sessions that I have open. I will be
typing away and suddenly the session freezes and within a few seconds it
goes blank. Our iSeries is about 60 miles from my location and is on V6R1.
My Client Access 5250 emulation is version 5.9 and I'm on a Dell laptop
running Vista Business edition w/ SP2. I would love to blame it on Vista
but then again, I'd love to blame world hunger on Vista.
If I immediately go to another session and press a function key, that
session will drop also. If I just wait a few minutes, I can usually tell
the dropped session to connect again and get on with life.
This is not a major problem, it's just really annoying. If anyone has some
thoughts on what to try, I'd be grateful. I've searched the internet
without much luck. I thought maybe there was a time-out value somewhere
that I could increase but (to quote Bugs Bunny) "no soap, doc".

Occasionally (perhaps one or two times weekly) a 5250 session will
orphaned/stranded.
