1 - I've not used the HMC schedule, but I thought I heard that if you
reboot your hmc you have to reenter the schedule entries - which makes no
sense to me.
2 - Barsa Consulting peddles a product called APRM for Automatic Partition
Resource Manager.

The HMC can move IO Adapters via a schedule entry, which makes it very
easy.

Subject: sharing a tape library between two partitions
I need to share a tape library between two partitions for backup using
BRMS which will use DDM so I have one database.
I know I can move a tape drive/library from one partition to another
with a pgm and that is an option.
What other ways can I share the tape library between two partitions?
Electric SCSI switch? Daisy chain SCSI devices? etc?
