2009/10/8 Jack Kingsley <iseriesflorida@xxxxxxxxx>:
Is there a workaround for a cl program that is creating a file under V5R4
(dspobjd to an outfile) where the field lenghts are different.  I have
compiled a program to run *PRV but when I run the program on the  V5R3
machine it bombs.  Thanks.

Jack

If you could get a copy of the V5R3 DSPOBJD outfile restored on your
V5R4 system you could compile the CL against that before sending to
the V5R3 system. You could still do your testing against the V5R4
DSPOBJD outfile (as long as the fields you're interested in are the
same) and do a final recompile TGTRLS(*PRV) to get the version they
can work with.
