Get IBM to open source IBM i.

Please don't rehash this dead horse again.

From a what would enable the platform to prosper perspective, I dont
see why not. A lot of computer professionals are not interested in
Linux. The choice of another OS in the open source arena would get a
lot of interest. COMMON would be the place to be if IBM i was open
sourced.

People like Scott and Paul Touhy are very good at what they do.
Problem is, there are not enough paying customer remaining who need
their services.

I know that IBM no longer supports LUGs by providing no expense IBM
speakers. Which enabled the user groups to accumulate some cash to
compensate some non IBM speakers. Is the same thing happening now
with COMMON?

Anyway, good luck hashing it all out. I am getting up to speed on
ASP.NET MVC. Along with LINQ to SQL it is a solid addition to the MSFT
arsenal.
