Hi Mike,

I have mixed case on the XP, and have keyed my password in mixed case on the
i. I have my 5250 set to bypass the signon using windows userid and
password, and it auto signs me on every time without fail, so the passwords
do match, it is just opening a network share from the i/OS that the
authentication fails.

I think the QZLSFILE job comes up once there is a share; the QZLSSERVER (?)
job may have a job log that indicates if there is an authentication issue.
It's also worth checking the history log to see if you can get a bead on
any
others jobs initiated at the same time.

How do you know the passwords are the same - what happens if you enter the
user/password combination that is failing manually ? Have you consider
changing the password at both ends (i.e. windows and iSeries) to be sure
they are the same ? You may need to reboot after changing the windows
password to force it to try and make the connection with the new password
instead of some old cached copy.

I find these problems difficult to provide advice for...
