Was on the V6R1 Infocenter today - just horrible.
How do IBM justify a complete rewrite of IC every release? The cost has
to be exorbitant. Better applied to development tools that can be had
for less. I just read something by a Joel Spolsky - about complementary
products that help sell a product - if complementary products get
cheaper, you sell more of your main item. In this case, development
tools are complementary to the box - make it easier and cheaper to
develop and you'll sell more boxes. That was the secret of the original
AS/400, right? All the applications?
