I finally got the top level page to load after approx. 10 minutes.
Now i've searched on 'optical media' and want to open up multiple tabs so I
can research multiple listings of new optical support in V6R1... i've got
14 pages worth of search hits...
From past experience, I will now wait approx. 10 minutes more for those
individual tabs to load their frams/toolbars/data (and also for the main
search page to simply advance from clicking the 'next' link)
I research this way on many, many websites through the course of a
week/month/year and I know of NO others that perform this poorly (including
notes.net and other IBM sites). It's interesting to me that IBM actually
conducts web usability studies with it's users (that they reward the users
for participating in), but can have such a poorly performing resource in
this case. SOMEONE there actually cares about the usability of websites.
Does anyone know how to reach that person in the case of the Infocenter?
(seriously) I would be glad to provide specific, constructive criticism
so that we can actually have a usable resource to get us to the primary
source of information for V6R1 documentation!

I've found out that the older V5R4 version of Infocenter is a much better
performer.

I'm all for online documentation... prefer it actually.
But WOW is the Infocenter a bad performer most times that I try to use
it... what the heck are they running that site on hardware/bandwidth wise?
