Ok, so I am not sure what that is. I have installed several 520s and 515s in
the last couple of years, and they were all set to QCTL. Maybe it is a
configurator switch, or I make that change in my sleep automatically?

they carry their setting with them on the upgrade, which includes QCTL as

You aren't likely to see somebody start with a basic install as it comes
out of the box.
