What we don't know is if they are in the same bus. For example if you put
the 2844 in slot 3 and the 573E in slot 4 and the 2749 in slot 5 and slot
5 happens to be on the next bus it won't know about the 2844.
What's a 573E?
What slots on what unit are these cards in?
Is this machine HMC controlled?
And you actually power off the machine to remove and add cards? I do that
live, via concurrent maintenance in STRSST.
